In recent visit from Alex Theakston from Source Distribution, we took a look at the new Arturia DrumBrute. While here, we also got a look at the Eventide effects pedals, as Alex brought a spanking new Model D to run through them.
The Eventide pedals: TimeFactor, Space, ModFactor and PitchFactor contain some of Eventide's classic algorithms, together with plenty of hands on control. Most of the pedals feature a dual engine system allowing for two effects paths in a single unit. Add to that the extensive hands on control and comprehensive MIDI implementation mean that we see these used by many electronic music artists as well as guitarists.
Indeed we have reviewed Space and ModFactor from a guitarists point of view. All of these algorithms are also available in the H9 pedal - depending on which configuration you go for.
In this video, Alex ran the Model D through the pedals to demo some of the sounds, ranging from the subtle to the downright extreme.
