Our friends at Synthopia have posted a video interview with engineer Nick Montoya on the new Minimoog Model D.

One thing they are clear about is that it is a loving recreation of the Model D as you'd expect. It seems like the Rev 2 is the one they've chosen to build - more stable oscillators, and of course the classic Moog ladder filter - with all that hot drive.

There are a few changes, CV outs have been added to interface with other kit  probably the biggest being a dedicated  two wave LFO  (SQ +TRI) so you don't have to sacrifice an Oscillator, through you still can use the 3rd Osc as well with a mix control There are also additional CV outputs for a variety of signals - aftertouch - so the keyboard has aftertouch, which can be sent back into a CV input if you like.

Confirmed its going to be a limited run, with more to be determined, suspect the parts availability will be a factor here.
