We took a trip to London's Kore Studios recently to take a look at their new API 1608 console. Its a rare thing in todays difficult climate to be able offer something different enough to get bookings, but they've chosen to API as their main console. And that seems to have been a contributing factor. According to studio owner manager George Apsion, the sound of the API mic amps "Just makes everything sound good".

Their studios are designed for tracking, and with 32 API mic pres, its given them something different to offer along side their live rooms, booths and mic collection.

We had a chat with George at Kore and also with Andy from Source Distribution about the other API goodies.
