Rupert Neve, is one of the elder statesmen of pro audio - his mic preamps, EQ and consoles have been held up as some of the most desirable money can buy. The practice of dismantling consoles and racking up the consituant parts could have been designed for Neve - their mic amps and EQs are highly desirable. In recent years the 88 year old designer has been putting his unique design input into various devices.

Already having worked with sE on a range of microphones, it looks there are more Mic(s) from this collaboration on the way. sE do already make some exceedingly good microphones - we use the Voodoo VR-1 Ribbon mics in all our guitar reviews.

No further news on what these are, but if they have the 'R' on them one can expect them to have a certain something.

Interestingly, even before anybody knows what they are, you can enter a competition to win over on the sE Electronics website.

Thanks to SynthJam for the spot
