NAMM 2015: BOSS Introduces BB-1X Bass Driver

BOSS is pleased to announce the BB-1X Bass Driver, a special edition compact pedal for bass players. Here's their press release about it:

Featuring unique BOSS technology, the BB-1X delivers bold, punchy sounds, exceptional versatility, and pro connectivity. Far more than a standard bass stompbox, the BB-1X is like a preamp, capturing the essence of the user's bass, amp, and playing to emphasize all their best characteristics.

At the 2014 Winter NAMM Show, BOSS released the OD-1X Overdrive and DS-1X Distortion pedals to universal praise from guitarists. The BB-1X Bass Driver now brings the groundbreaking sound innovations of the X series to all bass players.

The BB-1X provides bassists a wide range of superior sounds, from natural clean to heavy distortion. It adapts and responds to any playing style or register, but never loses the body and core tone of the user's instrument. The BB-1X's natural-sounding distortion preserves the full frequency range and dynamics of the bass, providing a clear sonic outline that enhances the sound while never muffling the low end.

Low and High knobs provide expansive tone-shaping capability, while the Blend knob allows users to freely mix their unprocessed bass sound with the effect tone.

The BB-1X is equipped with a standard output for driving a bass amplifier, as well as a 1/4-inch TRS line output for sending a balanced signal direct to a mixing console. The BB-1X's line out jack goes beyond a standard DI out, providing a newly crafted and enhanced direct sound for reaching larger audiences through a PA system.
