Showing cascading consoles together using firewire cable to join them

Ray Tanzen gave us a quick spin round the new product announcements at the show.

First up were the new RM Series rack mount mixer series, which apparently take all the DSP horsepower of the 32:4:2 StudioLive console mixer, add recallable XMAX preamps and a revamped version of UC Surface, a multi-platform software touch control for controlling the rack mixers.

Also showing was AVB Networking - the technology preview at NAMM showed off the first implementation of AVB audio networking for audio transport over ethernet for PreSonus console and rack mixers.

The whole stage setup was hooked up using AVB - they'll be shipping the first phase in March.
