Day one of the New Year (happy new one by the way) and as I sit here nursing the effects of the night before, reader George Laird sent in this scan of an ad he saw in the latest Electronic Musician mag. Its all we know - honest, but it would seem that there's a new Casio groovebox in the works.

Its following on from the XW range from  a couple of years ago, we reviewed the XW-P1 here. The round, yes round, pad encrusted XW-PD1 appears to be some sort of track based groove box with 16 pads - we dont know whether this is sample or pattern based yet but we'll see in around three weeks at the NAMM show - Casio will be at booth B5900

In the mean time -  lets speculate! - What would you like it to be?
