Voting for the 2015 Music Producers Guild Awards is now open and all full members of the Guild are encouraged to go on line at www.mpgawards.com and cast their votes.

Only Full Members are entitled to take part in this process and their votes will decide which nominees make the shortlist in 12 of the 15 award categories. There is still time for recording professionals who are currently not members of MPG - or are not Full Members - to join or upgrade to full membership so that they can play an active role in deciding who should win one of these prestigious awards.

The Music Producers Guild Awards fly the flag for the achievements of the UK's top producers, engineers, remixers and mastering engineers. The 2015 Music Producers Guild Awards will take place at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in Vauxhall, London, on Thursday February 12th. 2015. As in previous years, the winner of the MPG UK Producer of the Year category will also be awarded the prestigious BRIT Award for Best Producer.

MPG Chairman Steve Levine says: "We've had a great response to our call for nominations and there are some really diverse projects and individuals on the nominees list. By restricting voting to MPG Full Members we ensure that our awards are only given to people who have really earned them. Being judged worthy by your peers is always the highest accolade, especially in a field like music production where you need to understand the recording process to truly recognise what our nominees have achieved. We hope that recording professionals who are not currently Full Members of MPG will take this opportunity to join so that they can vote for the most deserving recipients."

In total there are 15 award categories, three of which are in the gift of the MPG Awards committee. However, MPG Full Members are entitled to vote for the following categories and are encouraged to do so before the closing date of midnight on October 31st 2014.

  • UK Producer of the Year
