Behringer has been in touch to tell us that they have taken three top awards at this year's NAMM show. Here's their press release in its entirety...

Sound on Sound has dubbed the Behringer X32 Digital Mixing Console the "Best Live Sound Product" at this year's NAMM show in Anaheim. Since its debut in mid-summer 2012, more than 100,000 of the groundbreaking consoles have been sold, making the Behringer X32 the best-selling digital mixer of all time.

The X32 also won the Pro Sound Web and Live Sound International "Readers' Choice Awards" at NAMM 2013, as well as the Musikmesse International Press Award that same year.

Behringer awards just keep coming, with Pro Sound Web and Live Sound International announcing the new Behringer X32 Compact Digital Mixing Console and P16-M 16-Channel Digital Personal Mixer as top winners at this years annual "Readers' Choice Awards".

The X32 Compact won the prestigious Small Format Consoles & Mixers category award over some very formidable competition, namely the Allen & Heath QU Series and Soundcraft Si Expression – which took 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Smaller in physical size, but equipped with the same award-winning 40-Input, 25-Bus mix engine as its larger sibling – the X32 Compact features 16 programmable Midas preamps, 17 motorized faders, channel LCDs, 32-channel audio interface and iPad/iPhone remote control. The X32 Compact I/O can be expanded via Behringer's onboard, proprietary ULTRANET and Klark Teknik's AES50 connectivity to full-sized X32 capacity.

Behringer's P16-M monitor mixer claimed its "Readers' Choice Award" in the In-Ear Monitoring Systems category. Part of the P16 Personal Monitoring System, the P16-M lets each performer take control of their own monitor mix, and features total recall, 16 presets for custom mixes, premium audio quality, 16 channel select buttons with dual LEDs – and a 3-band EQ per channel with mid-band frequency control.

Behringer also released new firmware for the award-winning X32 family. The new version 2.0 update provides major enhancements, such as "Cue List," for automated Scene and "Snippet" loading at different points in a show, a new 100-band Real Time Analyzer – plus more than a dozen new FX. Users who elect to update their firmware also get free access to Behringer's X32 "Artist's Presets," a collection of parameter settings from well-known clubs, studios and sound engineers.

Pricing and Availability:

The Behringer X32, X32 Compact and Powerplay P16-M are available at a suggested U.S. MAP of $2,799.00, $1,999.99 and $249.99, respectively.
