Greece, while known for its synth players - at least one synth player - Vangelis - possibly THE most famous synthesizer player in the world EVER, but actual instruments, thats a different matter. We spotted these Freaqbox Murmux Synthesizers after a tip off from Richard Nichol of Pittsburgh Modular, down in Hall E. One thing that was particularlty groovy was the tweed cloth covering front and back - most unusual.

Murmux Pedal Synth - this is a bass pedal with hand carved keyboard and what looks like a cross between the Initiate and the Semi Modular synth structure in a floor unit.

Prices are $869 for the Murmux Initiate, $1365 for the Semi Modular and $2650 for the Pedal Synth.

Seems a tad pricey but for a completely original hand made synth that's not outrageous.

I'd like to hear more sound demos though, but I'm very interested!

Seems to me like it could give you a nasty friction burn as well as ear cancer.

I suppose when your country is that far down s*** creak, you have to have a dream; no matter how fanciful.

The look of it is interesting for me. Reminds me of the mid 1900s.
