NAMM 2014: Charvel Guthrie Govan Signature Is FINALLY Here (Video)

The wait is over, and Charvel's Mike McGregor gives us the low down   23-Jan-14

Well we all sort of knew a Charvel Guthrie Govan signature was in the pipeline, but it's great to see it in the flesh, it's finally here!

Mike McGregor from Charvel told us the story of the guitar's development, including everything from designing the right pickups, to small details like the placement of the truss rod adjustor.

The spec on the Charvel Guthrie Govan signature is something that almost any guitarist would covet, it's set up to be a versatile high-end workhorse for a guitarist who gigs and presents guitar clinics all around the world.

The guitar comes with the option of a flame maple top, or a birdseye maple top, a graphite reinforced flame maple neck, 24 extra jumbo frets, Floyd Rose with Tremol-No unit, and custom designed MFB pickups in a HSH configuration (with a five-way switch).

So there you go ladies and gents, feast your eyes, Guthrie Govan's signature Charvel is now available to the general public.
