Magma has been in touch to tell us that Thunderbolt 2 versions of the Magma ExpressBox 1T, the ExpressBox 3T, the ROBEN-3TX and the ROBEN-3TS will be available to order through Magma resellers around the globe. Each of these Thunderbolt 2 equipped systems will be ready to ship by the end of February. Magma systems equipped with Thunderbolt 2 will carry the same prices as the original Thunderbolt versions.  Meanwhile, Thunderbolt versions of all products can still be purchased and will continue to ship at standard Magma lead-times.

In March of this year, Magma will also offer an upgrade option that allows customers to upgrade their Thunderbolt systems to Thunderbolt 2 for only $99.00. This special offer will only be available for a limited time.

Magma president Tim Miller, told us, "We are excited to announce that the Magma ExpressBox and ROBEN-3 systems are now equipped with Thunderbolt 2. Each of these popular systems is designed as the essential sidekick to our customer's computer workstations, like the newly released MacPro. With the addition of Thunderbolt 2, our customers are able to do even more amazing things in their fields of audio, video, gaming and post-production."
