Design Your Own Epiphone Coronet

Epiphone has introduced the Design Your Own Coronet contest, giving Epiphone fans the opportunity customize a new Epiphone Coronet with their own original artwork.

The Design Your Own Coronet contest gives fans the opportunity to not only win a new Epiphone Coronet with their custom artwork but also become part of the Coronet's long history as a fan and collector's favorite. First released in 1958, the Epiphone Coronet kicked off an exciting new range of Epiphone models made at the legendary Kalamazoo, Michigan factory shortly after Epiphone merged with Gibson.  Throughout the late '50s and '60s, Epiphone enjoyed a spectacular era that not only saw the production of the Coronet but also the Casino, the Texan, the Wilshire, and the Riviera. The Coronet went on to become a rare vintage collectable and an artist-favorite used by Paul Weller, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and The Smith's Johnny Marr.

The Design Your Own Coronet contest launches on June 1, 2013 on Epiphone.com and consists of two stages. During the first stage, June 1-30, 2013, contestants are encouraged to submit one or more designs of their original artwork using the downloadable Coronet template. Once the template of the guitar's large and distinctive pickguard is completed, contestants then upload their artwork to the Design Your Own Coronet contest submission page on Epiphone.com.

The second stage of the contest runs from July 1-31, 2013, where fans from the USA/Canada and the UK/Europe will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite Coronet pickguard artwork. All submissions will be available for viewing on Epiphone.com and Epiphone's Official Facebook page. At the conclusion of voting, the "Coronet artist" with the most votes wins an Epiphone Coronet with their custom artwork design. One winner will be chosen from the U.S./Canada region and one from UK/Europe in August 2013.
