They said it was a myth, the stuff of legend - something cooked up by the press office at Musik Messe to increase footfall to the upcoming show (april 10th - we'll be there).

But its true, the fabled Giant Tuba of Markneukirchen is appearing live at the Musik Messe in Hall 4.1, Foyer 22, at the stand of the Vogtland musical-instrument makers.

With over 50 metres of tubing, standing over 2m tall, its a doody. Seen here (or at least one very much like it - how many can there be?) played by Prof. Jörg Wachsmuth, who I must say has brilliant comedic timing.

And make no mistake, as soon as we arrive at the show, we'll be sending our entire team to pay homage to it's brassy goodness..
