Winter NAMM 2013 - Schmidt Poly Synth:
When confronted with a synthesizer of this magnitude, you have to get your camera out. I know we shot something at Messe which probably kept you satisfied for a while, but now we all need another dose of Schmidt.
Kindly, Thomas gave us a run through of a bunch of sounds, which I have to say are pretty flippin' amazing. Thomas has known the Schmidt since it was jut a little cigar box electronics project - he must be very proud now.
Still only available as made to order, I didn't bother to ask how much - I know I can't afford it. Incedentally, this one is Hans Zimmers.
Maybe we'll get another hit at Musik Messe.
That is all.
More From: SCHMIDT
I think they are around €20k depending on options...(i'm sure he mentioned it on a previous interview)......it's an absolute beast and an amazing feat for a one man creation.

AT 2:40 What a sound! Wow! Have to work harder to earn enough to buy one.

He's a pretty snappy player, too

My wallets hurting already - not to mention my back!!! But what an awesome synth, doubt if they'll make many of these tho. Kinda reminds me of the original Waldorf Wave synth of the early 90's.

Wow! This and the VP1 are the two synths I'll always want and will never be able to afford... Well, you can't have everything :-)

Kind of worthless like a Lamborghini if no one can afford it. Maybe Dave Smith will buy the plans and make it available to musicians.

The first two patches he demoed sounded very close to a couple of the presets on my Casio CZ5000. Ha! What a waste of 20k.
