M-Audio is reintroducing a number of models from their  series of recording microphones. M-Audio says that, created for professional and project studio recording, their microphones offer durable housings, advanced electronics, and superior sound.

M-Audio Product Manager Hiro Shimozato, told Sonic State, "With our monitor speakers, interfaces, and controllers, M-Audio has always been a trusted name in the studio. The mics have always been popular, and they offer the user a great value in audio performance."

Here's M-Audio's descriptions:

Sputnik
Multi-Pattern Large-Diaphragm Vacuum Tube Condenser Microphone
Offering cardioid, figure-eight, and omni-directional patterns, Sputnik is an ideal microphone for a number of critical vocal and instrument applications. The large-diameter Mylar diaphragm features an evaporated-gold coating, providing a uniform and even response. The inverse-mounted vacuum tube delivers an ultra-clean, uncolored sound. Solid brass offers integrity to the body and the tuned backplate as well. Sputnik comes with a shock mount, dedicated power supply/cable, and a custom flight case.

Nova
Large-Capsule Cardioid Condenser Microphone
Nova offers the open warmth of a large capsule design in a cost-effective microphone. Over one inch in diameter, the diaphragm is finished with an evaporated-gold coating to deliver uniform results. The body is made from solid brass, providing reliability and a substantial feel. Included with the Nova microphone are a hard mount and a zippered carry bag.

Pulsar II

Matched-Pair Small-Diaphragm Condenser Microphones
The Pulsar II matched pair microphones are ideal for evenly capturing any stereo source, from a piano to a choir. The narrow brass bodies house an internal shockmount system that helps isolate the capsules and reduce vibrations. The Mylar diaphragms are three quarters of an inch and feature a sputtered gold finish. Housed in a wooden case, the set also includes hard mounts, windscreens, and an adjustable stereo mounting bar.
