Dwarfcraft Launch 8-bit 8-step Pitchgrinder Sequencer Pedal

Filthy synth style polyphonic goodness for guitars   31-Jul-12

This pedal is just absolutely nuts. The Dwarfcraft Pitchgrinder is a digital 8-step pitch sequencer designed with guitarists in mind, kicking out some gnarly sounds and guaranteed to please if you are after something a little bit different.

The processing of the pedal gives you an 8-bit sound, crushed to smithereens and sounding more than a little bit dirty. But the thought put into this pedal by Aen at Dwarfcraft is the most impressive thing, for what is essentially a sequenced pitch shifter it sure has a lot of tricks up its sleeve.

You can have to eight different pitches on the Pitchgrinder, but you don't have to use all of them, and you can tap out the rhythm of your sequence. The tap switch also doubles up as a stepper, allowing you to step through the different pitches, and if you hold it down it also freezes the signal on the pitch you want.

Check out the video to see how it all works.

Dwarfcraft have started a Kickstarter project to help them along their merry way with production of the pedal, this basically allows you to pre-order a Pitchgrinder with some extra perks.

You can help them out by visiting their Kickstarter page.
