PreSonus has teamed together with Sabian, Vic Firth, Pearl and Audix to present an industry and Internet first. They are inviting you to join them online for a real-time live webcast of the production of Terence Higgins' new album, Swampgrease II.
Higgins, a New Orleans drummer behind acts like The Warren Haynes Band, John Scofield's Piety Street Band, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, will be checking in to New Orleans' Oak Street Recording for three days of recording with his band Swampgrease. And Presonus will be presenting the entire session live on the Web, from tracking to final mix.
The sessions will commence on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time with pre-production and an interview with Terence. Day Two, Thursday May 10, will include tracking with the band from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT. And Day Three will include tracking and mixing, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT.
The album will be recorded and mixed using PreSonus gear and Studio One 2 DAW software. Oak Street engineers will record the sessions using Audix microphones, and Higgins will be playing Pearl drums, Sabian cymbals, and Vic Firth sticks.
