The Killers Talk About New Record

The band are back in the studio   05-Jan-12

After working on their respective solo offerings, The Killers are back together to record their next album. Brandon Flowers confirmed that the album will be released in 2012, it will be the first release by the band since Day And Age in 2008.

Fan sites had tipped the title of the album to be "Battle Born", due to the fact that Flowers has confirmed that a song by the same title will appear on the album. The singer spoke about the album on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show:

"It's just whether it's [released in] the summertime or the wintertime," Flowers said.

"It's just exciting getting everyone in the room to make some noise... [it's] quite a bit louder than with my solo thing, so I 've got to get used to that.

"I think the consensus within the band is to take those things that we've done well and really hone in on that, we don't want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam's Town 2, or Day & Age 2."

The band are recording in their own Las Vegas studio with Steve Lillywhite.
