It's been a busy few days for Metallica, what with the first single from their collaboration with Lou Reed streaming online, and playing a huge gig at Rock In Rio.

You can also check out Slipknot's performance below, which is most definitely worth a watch! Both bands had incredible openings to their performances, we can't decide which we prefer more, they were both as awesome as one another. Metallica's Ecstacy of Gold introduction is always like the calm before the storm, whereas Slipknot's was more like the dawn of the apocalypse.
