If you consider that the iPad has only been around for a relatively short time, it's remarkable just how quickly it has been adopted into the music world - walking around the recent Namm Show and now the MusikMesse this year, there are simply *loads* of applications the iPad is being used for, from full-blown synths, to hardware controllers and a myriad in between.

Getting audio signals in and out of the iPad presents a challenge that has been met in several ways, but the latest from Alesis - the IO Dock - is a pretty comprehensive solution.
