A rare Nirvana EP that was only released in Australia is to get another lease of life. The band’s Hormoaning EP will be re-released as part of Record Store Day, April 16, according to NME.com.
The 1992 release includes Nirvana’s covers of songs by Devo, The Vaselines and The Wipers, along with originals – “Aneurysm” (From The Muddy Banks of The Wishkah) and “Even in His Youth” (Later released on With The Lights Out). The songs were recorded during a BBC session with DJ John Peel and was originally sold during the band’s tour of Australia in 1992.
Only 6000 copies of Hormoaning will be pressed, and will be sold at independent record stores.
