Responding to requests from customers the world over, Eventide have announced the posting of V3 software for TimeFactor, ModFactor and PitchFactor stompboxes for public beta. Here's what they have to say...
Two significant features have been added to all three stompboxes: the ability to name presets, and the ability to adjust the output level from -20dB to +4dB in 1dB increments on each preset in order to facilitate seamless gain matching. Additional MIDI control refinements have also been added.
In addition, added to the ModFactor is a new Bass Wah algorithm which is specially optimized for bass, bringing the number of effects to 30. The Vocal Wah effect now allows you to modulate between two vowels instead of just modulating one vowel. This new feature offers lots of new sound possibilities. Lastly, the Classic Chorus and Liquid Chorus algorithms now have enhanced stereo imaging.
Other enhancements to TimeFactor include the addition of increased saturation to the Tape Echo algorithm. Also added is the ability to increase modulation speed and depth in the Vintage Delay algorithm resulting in more extensive modulation capability and control. Also Tap Tempo responsiveness has been improved.
Additional improvements to PitchFactor include faster responsiveness to Expression Pedal control on PitchFlex. The delay time in MicroPitch has been increased from 1500ms to 2 seconds of stereo delay time. Lastly, in addition to sine, triangle, and sawtooth, Synthonizer Xnob now offers two new waveshape choices: Organ1 and Organ2. Selecting either of these and varying the pitch results in a wide variety of new synthesizer sounds, ranging from low nasty grit to cyber tin whistle.
