Heavyocity have announced the 1.5 upgrade for their flagship virtual instrument, Evolve. Here's all the details in their own words... The upgrade includes all new User Interfaces for each instrument category including new controls and effects (like Cabinet, Skreamer, and lo-fi). In addition to the updated interface, we've included our signature "Trigger FX" engine. The Trigger FX, first released with Evolve Mutations 2, provides 12 discreet effects (made up of filter sweeps, delays, compression, panning, distortion, Lo-Fi, and more) that can be performed and recorded using a midi keyboard, or user-assigned CC Values. Within the presets of the Rhythmic Suites, Percussive Kits, and Stings and Transitions categories, this real-time FX performance tool can create effects performances that will radically alter the original sounds with the hit of a key.
The Evolve 1.5 Upgrade is available for Evolve users only (not compatible with the Evolve Mutations products). It is powered by the Kontakt 4 Player by Native Instruments (version 4.1 or higher).
The Upgrade is a $29.95 download purchase. 50 percent of the proceeds are being donated to Cancer Research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering-Cancer Center, via Fred's Team. Many people, either directly or indirectly, have been affected by this disease. This November, Heavyocity's Dave Fraser will be running the ING NYC Marathon with Fred's Team. Fred's Team is a group of dedicated runners of all abilities who participate in athletic events to raise funds for cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
