Taylor Barefoot and Dave Fisher created this delay pedal comparison, what they're calling The 'Ultimate Boutique Delay Pedal Shootout', looking at 10 different pedals.

While not all the pedals come from manufacturers that are especially 'boutique' manufacturers, they do cover a lot of territory:

  1. Moog MF-104
  2. Empress Vintage Modified Superdelay
  3. Dr Scientist Sunny Day Delay
  4. Way Huge Aquapuss
  5. MXR Carbon Copy
  6. Toneczar Echoczar
  7. ElectroHarmonix Deluxe Memory Man Reissue
  8. Diamond Memory Lane
  9. Hughes and Kettner Replex
  10. Roland SRE-555

Test Details:

Each pedal was recorded using an original 1959 Fender Stratocaster, Monster Cables, a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power II, and Alessandro Black 'n Tan amp, Royer 121 microphone, Shure SM-57 microphone, Shadow Hill Industries Gama 8 preamp and a Lynx Aurora 16 A/D convertor into Protools.

Minimal digital limiting was added in Protools to boost the volumes.
