Propellerhead today released Record for education - single, five- and ten-packs of Record, specially priced for schools and institutions. Here's their press release:
In the classroom, Record and Reason have many distinct advantages over other music software programs, allowing students to focus on music creation and production, not system maintenance and software incompatibilities. Students can freely experiment and find solutions to audio problems while maintaining creative flow during music production, invariably spending more time on their projects and assignments.
Record's studio simulation metaphor allows students to configure (and reconfigure) a complete sound studio, selecting and wiring audio processors and generators, while Record's large format console model provides a rare chance for students to prepare for work in large, professional studios.
Record Education is available in single, 5- and 10-user packs, and multiple packages can be combined for additional licenses. The software integrates perfectly with Reason -- schools can use Record Education as an upgrade to their existing Reason licenses, or as a standalone recording application.
The new network multilicenses lets schools install Record on as many computers as they like. With an Ignition Key connected to the USB port on a server or a computer on the network, the system will allow students launch Record or Record + Reason on any computer on the network until the license limit is reached.
Pricing and Availability:
Record for schools and institutions is available for sale worldwide from authorized Propellerhead resellers. Record Education Single User Pack MSRP of $185 USD / €139 EUR
Record 5-User Pack MSRP of $599 USD / €429 EUR
