Well, we ran a story about it being introduced by a huge pink rabbit at the Frankfurt Messe but now we have more details about the Sidsonic Libraries' Circus Circuit Bending Library which is now available. Here's all the details from the company...
Circuit Bending without smoking equipment
The Circus Circuit Bending Library, pays tribute to the art form of Circuit Bending, which since its foundation in the 1960s has produced several interesting instruments with a wide range of unique sounds...
Unfortunately, the world of Circuit Bending was previously reserved only for those who were already involved in the subject, armed with soldering irons and components to tackle the equipment.
With the Circus Circuit sound library, sidsonic libraries wants to change this. For the first time it will be possible for many musicians and sound designers to engage themselves in the matchless breadths of circuit bending, and to create their own personal slant on this innovative type of sound production.
Altogether, 14 pieces of equipment have been modified and recorded for this. Well known problems in the filed of Circuit Bending such as system crashes and suspending or tonally wrong notes were eliminated, thus ensuring a professional working.
The Circus Circuit sound library is by no means intended only for Circuit Bending enthusiasts, but rather for anyone looking for fresh sound material off the beaten track
Whether used to achieve a more striking style in Hip Hop or Rock production, to compose electronic music, or find a solid basis for professional sound design, the Circus Circuit Bending Library is the right choice!
