This year's 9th annual British Invention Show saw TL Audio and Fatman presented with 5 awards, including the prestigious Diamond award for design for the sister consumer electronics brand "Fatman by TL Audio".
Here's the details from the TL Audio press release...
Fatman by TL Audio take the hybrid philosophy and apply it to manufacturing high end tube amplifiers, with iPod docking stations, bringing much needed warmth and analogue sound back to the digital world. The designs have not only achieved exquisite sound, but also great looks as lifestyle products, and this has been rewarded with acclaim from T3, What Hifi, Stuff, and now BIS.
The flagship TL Audio console, the VTC, won a highly acclaimed Gold award for its industrial design.
The unique and detailed, patented VTC design, combines traditional valve circuitry with modern discrete transistor circuitry; providing low noise, wide frequency response and as expected, some pleasing tube saturation for recording and mix down.
The Vic's award comes 10 years after its first introduction to the market and proves it is still a highly desirable and expertly crafted mixing console, that boasts a unique and clever design, still all hand made in our Hertfordshire factory in England.
The overall winner of the event was Chew Kean Khoon from the University Sains Malaysia for a synthetic bone replacement material that can be injected into a patients problem area after a break or orthopedic surgery to greatly reduce healing time to possibly as little as a few days.
