No doubt you've seen the video of the Eigenharp launch - it's pretty impressive, and raises a whole host of questions, so luckily I was able to grab an interview with Eigenlabs founder John Henry Lambert after the invited guests went.

Big thanks to the rest of the EigenCrew for being so patient - I know they really wanted to pack up for the day and get outta there, and our chat went on for a fair while!

I've split it into two parts - this one covers the following:-

  • Brief overview of the Eigenharp
  • The idea behind the format
  • Interface design and ergonomics
  • How to play scales
  • The flexibility of the different setups
  • How deep down the rabbit hole you can go!
  • Software core design principle
  • If Les Paul had been a software engineer...
  • What's possible with the coming software workbench

Part 2 will be coming up very soon.
