Model, DJ and Tech Babe Emily Scott is trying to make the transition from swimsuit model to superstar DJ.

You might think that this has nothing to do with you and that the new guy at Sonic State just slipped this in because he likes a bit of eye candy.

And you might be right.

But give Scott a chance, and you'll find that she's got nice tips for using the iPhone in the world of music, including:

• Use the Voice Recorder included in iPhone OS 3.0 to capture melodies on the go;
• Capture lyrics and other ideas in the Notepad;
• Preview and download new tracks wirelessly;
• Update your social network profile(s), wherever you are; and
• Download music apps, like Paul van Dyk's PvD DJ, that may help you with your music.

Scott has several other suggestions for using the iPhone for music, so don't hit pause at the first gratuitous bikini photo. You might miss out on something useful!
