Sontronics are quite a new mic company - I say new, but it's actually been five years since they launched the company, but their retro designs and kudos from the industry makes them appear somewhat longer in the tooth. All these products take full advantage of the lower cost of manufacturing in China, but still manage to achieve high performance. We caught up with designer Trevor Coley, and had a chat about the what, why and how of design and manufacture.
