This was an unexpected treat for me first thing in the AM, Imogen Heap, who's (still) putting the finishing touches on her much awaited album "Ellipse" is currently in Maui where she stopped off after a coast to coast US listening party tour for selected journalists. The plan is now to take a break and work on the last song on the album here, coming full circle, as it was here that she first began work on Ellipse. Being the switched on girl that she is, she's been treating audiences to some wonderful piano improvisations via uStream.tv. She says of them
" not really sure what it's going to be yet. Just playing around... wanting to stream some live improvisations from Maui then choose 2 mins from all of the recordings to come in before Canvas on Ellipse. X" I watched yesterdays performance which was great, but quite dark, the piano sounded lovely, so I asked – what are you using – assuming it was a virtual one – the only light available seemed to be coming from the computer screen. I know now why it sounded so good. Ellipse is due for release in August 2009.
