Image Line Software, the developer of FL Studio, have introduced a collection of guitar effects called Hardcore. Available for both Mac and PC users, they tell us that Hardcore gives virtual access to 10 popular stomp-box style effects, each with a unique sonic character.
The developer of Hardcore, Maxx Claster, told us, "When I started Hardcore the idea was to fill the 'distortion' guitar plug-in gap in the Image Line FX suite, but it turned into a much bigger and exciting project. It seems that once Maxx had created one guitar plug-in, it was difficult for him to stop. Maxx is well known to Image Line customers for the synths Morphine, PoiZone and Toxic.
Hardcore includes 10 stomp-box simulations:
  • Distortion
  • Chorus
  • Flanger
  • Phaser
  • Reverb
  • Delay
  • Noise Gate
  • Equalizer
  • Compression
  • Modulator
Five stomp-box simulations can be arranged in any order on the Hardcore pedal board. The output then passes through an 8-band graphic EQ and Cabinet Simulator, tying it all together.
Plug-in formats:
  • FL Studio plugin
  • VSTi 2.4 (Win/OSX)
  • Audiounit (OSX)
Pricing and Availability:
Hardcore can be ordered from the Image Line Software Web store for US $ 79.
Till the end of October every order of Image Line Software products comes with a free copy of Hardcore.
