1. DANNY BYRD: DRUM AND BASS VOL 2 (Loopmasters/Hospital Records)
Drum And Bass guru Danny Byrd has produced this absolute belter of a Sample Pack ideal for Drum And Bass, Breakbeat and Urban producers, or anyone looking for cutting edge sounds and samples. Itâ€™s a new generation sample pack for next generation samplists!
Content: Over 440 heavyweight royalty free samples, including 35 full drum loops and 139 drum separate loops, 22 searing lead riffs, 5 inspirational music loops, 12 vocal loops and 17 shaker and tambourine patterns.

If you need real, Funky drums then this sample collection is for you. It has a stylistic bias to the past with covers of classic beats cut between 1960 and 1979 including Rare Groove, Funk, Vintage Soul, Bombastic 70s Rock and early Hip-Hop. The collection features Nasser Bouzida from the cult Blow Up recording stable and Jim â€˜the Lickâ€™ Kelly, with guest appearances from Style Scott and Jan Kincaid from the Brand New Heavies.

For maximum authenticity the samples were recorded and mixed on 1970s Neve and Api consoles, with analogue tape, vintage microphones and outboard gear along with vintage drum kits. Itâ€™s the first of our Street series catering for the Hip-Hop and Nu Soul fraternityâ€¦
