TC-Helicon has announced VoiceTone Harmony-G and VoiceTone Harmony-M, two newcomers in the VoiceTone line of vocal effects pedals designed specifically for the performing singer.
By following natural guitar or MIDI-keyboard playing, the new VoiceTone pedals enable singing musicians to add backup harmony singers to their performances without any tedious programming. Live engineer effects are also included, which automatically apply Adaptive EQ, compression and de-essing algorithms so the performer can focus on playing while VoiceTone produces a fully-produced vocal sound with dedicated doubling and reverb/delay combinations. VoiceTone Harmony-G is geared toward guitarists while VoiceTone Harmony-M is for MIDI-keyboard players.
VoiceTone Harmony-G is a studio quality vocal harmony and effects pedal dedicated to guitar players that takes the programming completely out of the equation, since the guitar playing tells Harmony-G what notes to harmonize. Adaptive mixing and harmony arrangement algorithms follow the guitar and voice, and produce realistic harmonies without pre-programming. A guitar AutoMix function provides acoustic guitar players with a balanced mix of vocals, guitar and effects. The straightforward controls enable the guitarist to go further and arrange voicing and effects changes in their song by stepping through ten presets with A/B settings as he performs. VoiceTone Harmony-G also features XLR mic level I/O, guitar input and pass-thru for separate amp and guitar tuner inputs.
VoiceTone Harmony-M is dedicated to singers who are also keyboard players. It listens to the MIDI input and voice to follow the music. The pedal includes classic “notes and “chord harmony control modes, and features 1/4 TRS mic level I/O as well as input for optional footswitch so it can be placed on the keyboard for easy access. Like Harmony-G it has a tone switch for engaging the adaptive live engineer effects that dynamically polishes the vocal tone by connecting the stereo outputs to the mains.

The VoiceTone family also contains three effects pedals dedicated for singers; VoiceTone Create multi-effects pedal, VoiceTone Correct pitch correction and adaptive EQ/dynamics processor, and the VoiceTone Double live overdubbing-in-a-pedal.
With VoiceTone Harmony-G and VoiceTone Harmony-M TC-Helicon say that the range is augmented for performing musicians looking for effortless and professional vocal harmony and effects. Availability:
The pedals will ship in Spring 2008 at a suggested retail price of EUR 299. More information:
