Fairlight have announced that it is experiencing unprecedented demand for its new CC-1 powered DREAM II products. They tell us that the groundbreaking FPGA engine has set a new price/performance benchmark for professional media tools but believe it is the rich feature set and comprehensive file handling capabilities for OMF, AES31, AAF and MXF that is driving more and more customers to adopt the platform.
Italy’s Skill Post Production Group is expanding and upgrading to new CC-1 engines as well as installing an additional StationPlus mixing controller. Well known as one of Milan’s busiest post house, Skill is run by Daniele Tuccari who commented that no other system offered such powerful integration of audio and video tools. Another hugely successful facility moving up to CC-1 is Belgium’s Options Studio. Already a substantial Fairlight user, Options has begun the phased introduction of CC-1 platforms under their multiple Constellation-XT mixing systems.
In Germany, Synchrosphere Studios in Berlin are also moving over to CC-1 as client demands for faster and more comprehensive one-stop-shop facilities increase. Nestled in the sparkling Indian Ocean, France’s official 26th ‘region’ The Reunion Islands is home to Studio Acoustik. Internationally recognized and always progressive, Studio Acoustik are investing in two Fairlight HD DREAM II Factories. These systems feature full HD production capabilities based around the Constellation-XT large format mixing system, CC-1 media engine and integrated High Definition video. The new systems will allow the studio to deliver full service HD production services with the unparalleled reliability that customers associate with Fairlight technology.
The overwhelming customer approval of CC-1 has delighted Sales and Marketing Director, Stuart DeMarais who commented, “Customer reaction to the new CC-1 is incredible. The CC-1 media engine amazes them but it’s the audio and video integration and blazingly fast file handling that sets it apart from the rest, put simply, CC-1 delivers across all the key customer requirements for European post production workflow and Fairlight is poised to become a highly significant platform across Europe
