Pettinhouse has announced the DirectBass Bass Sample Library in NI Kontakt 2 format for AMP SIMULATOR. They say that it is direct recorded to the sound card without any amplifier or EFX at 24Bit 96Khz and that, combined with a Bass Amp Simulator, it allows you to create an infinite number of bass sounds.
Pettinhouse tell us that 3 pick-ups have been sampled - Bridge, Both and Neck plus Picked Bass for covering the entire range of bass styles.
