Hartman Electronics have announced the release of its 8va Octave Fuzz pedal which they say is a faithful recreation of the legendary Tycobrahe Octavia stompbox.
Here’s what they have to say about it in their own words:
“Using carefully selected premium-quality components to replicate the exact signal chain of the early '70s Tycobrahe, the Hartman 8va delivers the full range of classic tones of the original: raucous, searing fuzz; blooming, crystalline upper octaves and space-age ring-modulation effects. Frequently requested defeatable mods are available including Octave On/Off, and a specially designed input level trim to accentuate the octave character of the sound.
Each Hartman 8va fuzz features heavy-duty true-bypass switching, ON/OFF LED indicator, external 9VDC power in jack. Mil-spec plated-through-hole printed circuit board construction features premium-quality components and the same transformer-coupled Germanium diode rectifier stage as the originals. Assemblies are meticulously grounded and shielded in a rugged metal enclosure to ensure quiet, RF interference-free operation.
