Digidesign has launched the Structure Public Beta program, which offers Pro Tools users a chance to test drive and provide feedback for its eagerly anticipated, professional sampler, Structure, the latest RTAS virtual instrument plug-in from Digidesign’s Advanced Instrument Research (A.I.R.) group.
Digidesign General Manager Dave Lebolt told us, “We were very impressed with how well Structure was received when we previewed it at the NAMM tradeshow in January, so we’re very excited to open up a public beta program to our loyal and active community of Pro Tools users. We’re looking forward to receiving their feedback, which will help us to fine-tune Structure and deliver the highest levels of professional reliability and performance.
The Structure beta is available for free for a limited time to Pro Tools users who are running Pro Tools 7.0 or higher software. Interested participants simply need to visit Digidesign’s Structure website and follow the instructions to sign up and download the beta software. Participants must have an iLok USB Smart Key to authorize the software. The Structure beta program is open to a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Digidesign welcomes test feedback via a Structure web survey form.
The Structure beta includes three packages of diverse, free sound content—such as synths, drums, and nylon string guitars—for use with the sampler, as well as associated instructional materials. The official release of Digidesign Structure is expected for the summer of 2007.
