Sonic Studio have announced the release of a new version of their low cost premastering application, PreMaster CD 2.0. They say that, with progressive features and options, PreMaster CD 2 further cements its position as the go–to application for CD creation on the Mac.
Borrowing some of the high end features that Sonic Studio is known for, PreMaster CD 2.0 adds more background processing, more control and more functionality. In addition, options are now on tap to customize the application’s already strong collection of features. This new release consolidates all the maintenance changes incorporated into the code base while adding the ability to support options, including Manual DeClick II and DDP File Open for both split and consolidated DDP file sets. A new Master Section, with large, adjustable metering, a master fader with dim, and convenient management of redithering parameters, offers centralized command and control. Other additions include export to BWF and AIFF along with optimized processing of waveform metadata.
Sonic Studio tell us that Tom Swift, owner of Swift Kick Productions, in Seaford NY, has found his copy indespensible – he has this to say, “Not only does PMCD create audio CDs, but also bulletproof DDP file sets, which eliminates problems in the CD manufacturing process and saves me hundreds of dollars. PMCD is easy to use, and has powerful editing capabilities, versatile fade algorithms, superb dithering and sound fidelity…As an engineer, I rest easier knowing that I’m providing clients with product created by the company that pioneered and maintains the lead in desktop CD production.
Pricing and Availability:
