IK Multimedia have been in touch to tell us that a download for the new AmpliTube 2.1 is now available, providing compatibility for IK Users with Mac Intel Core Duo Systems.
In addition to Mac Intel compatibility, there are several enhancements that have been implemented into AmpliTube 2.1, such as Pro Tools 7 native support and improved CPU efficiency.
Also available in the update is the standalone version of AmpliTube 2.1 which includes SpeedTrainer, an audio player with pitch and speed controls that IK say make it perfect for learning favorite songs. Users can slow tempos of guitar solos wihtout changing the pitch to track any riff. SpeedTrainer allows users to drag any WAV or MP3 from their hard disk (even iTunes files) and set loop points easily for playing over and tracking the preferred song. Also included is a metronome (set by BPM or Tap).
You can now also download a new free demo version of AmpliTube 2.1, now without the dongle. The AmpliTube 2.1 demo is fully functional for a grace period of 10 days.
Pricing and Availability:
AmpliTube 2 users may download this software update for free and will no longer require a USB iKey or dongle for authorization. More information:
