Camel Audio have announced updates to their multi-effects - CamelSpace v1.3 and CamelPhat v3.3.
Available as Audio Unit and VST plugins, CamelSpace is a rhythmic multi-effect with eight effects including trance-gate and filter, while its partner CamelPhat offers phattening effects including distortion and compression.
The Audio Unit versions now come in Universal Binary format for compatibility with Intel Macs. CamelSpace and CamelPhat are known for their straightforward interfaces, and this update offers many improvements which make them even easier to use. For example, moving the mouse over a knob causes the current value to be displayed and preset banks may now be selected directly from the preset menu. The graphics have also been optimized, resulting in much improved performance on some Windows systems, and better metering on all systems.
CamelSpace now ships with over 350 presets, and CamelPhat with over 250. CamelAudio have also announced the availability of five new banks exclusively to registered users. For CamelPhat there is a new subtle bank from Tim Conrardy showcasing how CamelPhat may be used for gentle as well as extreme effects. There are also new banks for both CamelPhat and CamelSpace from Kriminal, and from a recent preset design competition.

New in this update:
  • Audio Unit versions now in Universal Binary format
  • Mousing over controls displays current value
  • Preset banks accessible from preset menu
  • Five new banks available from the Camel Audio website
  • Optimized graphics performance
  • Faster meter refresh
  • Other minor improvements and optimizations
