iZotope, INC. is proud to announce the acquisition of the iDrum and pHATmatik PRO virtual instruments from creator Art Gillespie. Effective immediately, iZotope will assume all sales and support responsibilities for iDrum and pHATmatik PRO.
pHATmatik PRO provides unique loop manipulation features for performance and editing, and iDrum combines the fun and simplicity of hardware drum machines with the flexibility of software. Mark Ethier, CEO of iZotope told us, "Art has cultivated the 'musician interface', providing working musicians with efficient, creative tools while still allowing beginners to produce music. As the first third party plug-in designed specifically for Apple's GarageBand, iDrum has been a critical and market success. Similarly, pHATmatik PRO was one of the first loop slicing tools to hit the market as an answer to musician's struggles to find ways to personalize and re-invent their loop libraries."
Art Gillespie, CEO of Glaresoft , had this to say, "I've been working closely with iZotope, and they're one of the few developers I know of that's smart enough, passionate enough, and committed enough to musicians to take on these amazing products. iDrum and pHATmatik PRO have found a good home, and I'm sure our customers are going to be very happy with what iZotope has planned for them."
Here’s iZotope's own description of the two products…
