Edirols PCR Keyboards receive continued support with the release of new templates for MOTUs Digital Performer and Emagic Logic. There’s also an updated Cubase template, recently added templates for Propellerheads Rebirth, Audio Simulations Audio Station, Audio Nerdz Delay Lama and Roland XV-5080. This takes the count of freely downloadable control maps for a variety of software and hardware applications from Edirol.com up to 50+ Control maps are created in the supplied software editor, and allow you to quickly configure all the buttons, knobs and faders on your PCR to easily control your software application or MIDI hardware. Each control map has a parameter list that illustrates the message each control sends. This is particularly useful for those PCR users who want to customize their set-up. A Control Map is simply a pre-configured MIDI file containing a SysEx message to assign the various knobs, sliders, buttons, & pedals of the PCR to particular MIDI messages. This information can be saved within one of the internal memory locations of the PCR, or implemented into the beginning of a MIDI file to recall the appropriate control map automatically when the file is loaded. The software is available from Available for download now, free of charge. For more information about the PCR range of MIDI keyboard controllers, see our review:
