January 12, 2001 -- GMEDIA Technology plc, manufacturers of the award-winning Phat.Boy MIDI controller and award-winning M-Tron VST plug-in instrument, have released a new sample CD based on the famous Fender Rhodes electric piano. In 1965, Harold Rhodes, in conjunction with Leo Fender, developed the Fender Rhodes Suitcase 88 - the first full size unit. Although over the years various model names have come and gone, the one thing that remains constant throughout is the unmistakable sound. The Fender Rhodes is used by a wide range of artists from Chick Corea to Portishead and Steely Dan to Stevie Wonder. On the Rhodes brings you the famous Rhodes sound courtesy of one of the UK's finest Rhodes players, Arden Hart who has worked with artists including Mel C, Chaka Khan, Take That, Deni Hines and Incognito. The On the Rhodes CD is unique in offering the choice of WAV and AIFF Audio Loops, MIDI Loops, WAV and AIFF Individual Hits and Creative Labs SoundFonts all on the same CDROM. This incredible CD features everything you need to integrate this classic instrument into your arrangements via the stunning performances by Arden Hart. On the Rhodes is fully compatible with the PC and Mac.
