The MOTU 828mkII is a new-release of their 828 firewire audio interface with some improvements. The first being new converters allowing up to 96k sampling rates. In additon, there are two mic/guitar preamps on the front in addition to the 8 analog inputs, giving 10 analog input sources available. It can also operate without a computer attached as a standalone 8-bus mixer via the front panel controls. Includes drivers for Mac & PC, including ASIO, WDM, Wave, GSIF, Core Audio, and Core MIDI. Supports all popular Macintosh and Windows audio software.

Good Points
additional 2 mic pre's is nice, gives more versatility from other 8x8 cards... new converters sound excellent... using onboard CueMixDSP one can create practically latency-free monitoring...
Bad Points
none that I can tell right now... but if I find some I'll post them in a review... this is truly a rock solid box!
