The 2x4/s is a nice external midi interface, which you can use with you mac or pc. It also has a SMPTE in and output, which is nice for syncing to a taperecorder. It also supports all timecode standards.

Good Points
Good timing, very strong built, flashing leds for all ports, support for all framerates and mac/pc compatibility
Bad Points
None! (well, maybe I would have like 10 outs and 10 ins...but you can have everything:))
