Compact, budget priced, desktop self-powered monitors. The Sirocco Spirit system is a smaller and cheaper alternative to the original Sirocco system. There is a 50 watt RMS power amp built in and you simply plug your recorders outputs directly into the provided phono sockets of which there are two sets - one for connecting to a computer soundcard (minijack to phono lead provided) and one for any line level signals. Tone control is available in the form of a dual shelving filter controlled by a centre detented rotary knob with bass boost in one direction, treble boost in the other.

Good Points
These are the ideal low cost partners for a computer based recording system or a portastudio type unit. They come with all the necessary cabling, are easy to set up and plug in and are capable of loud volume levels. These are eager performers with plenty of viby bass available should you wish to turn up the tone controls, but don't try mixing with it turned full up or you'll end up with bass-light mixes.
Bad Points
Not the most uncoloured sounding speaker around and extreme tweaking of the tone controls could give you a false impression of what your mix would sound like on other systems, but for the price they are compact, convenient and excellent value.
