After a years use I can say that their not too bad. Sounds clean and clear but I also need quality bass. This where it lacks. In the end I still get good sound out of it so I give it a six or a seven!

dj aro is full of sh*t. the reveals are the best monitor in this price range. i did over a month of a/b comparisons at my local music superstore before i decided on the tannoys. no other speaker at this price sounded as detailed or transparent. yes...the low-end response is a bit lacking but it was still better than all the other speakers except the nearfields that cost 2 or 3 times MORE !!! they even sound more defined than the active (blue) tannoys which are more expensive than a passive/amp combo probably due to the acoustics of having a amp slapped on the back of the speaker. the bottom line is these are the best bang for the buck...you just have to know your gear and its limitations in order to get the best results.

I have two friends who own and swear by them. They do lack a bit of bottom end, and when I borrowed them, My mixes struggled lower dowm a bit. But every speaker in the price and size range of the Reveals will have this issue!
One can't expect perfect bass from a monitor that size.
The main thing is do they translate accurately? Well the one mix I did on these translated well to other systems, but not psrfectly. The bass was definitlely the main issue, but I've already detailed why.
The mixes one of my friends gets off them sound good. They struggle less with the lows because they have learned the bass response and thus learned to compensate.
