NAMM 2014: F-Pedals Wireless Pedal Board System - PLUS Interview With Eddie Kramer

We caught up with rock royalty Eddie Kramer to talk about his new product   28-Jan-14

F-Pedals are designed to bring classic rock and roll tone to your pedal board in a tiny package, taking up minimal space on your rig.

But instead of focusing on unveiling a new pedal this year, F-Pedals have announced a new wireless powered pedal board, which can work with (almost) any guitar pedal on the market.

This means you can pre-charge your pedal board and have 20 hours of battery life, with wireless power to your pedals. Potentially this means the only wires in your rig would be your jack cables (and the power supply for your amp).

You don't have to precharge the pedal board, you could choose to leave it plugged in throughout a gig, and it would still send wireless power to your pedals. They're also working on adapter plates that'll power your other pedals too.

It's a genius idea, and even though it was only a prototype board on show at NAMM, the concept itself is promising - and we should see the final version of the board soon.

To see the board in action, plus an interview with Eddie Kramer and Francesco Sondelli, watch the video above.
